Kitty Box Sculpture adding a splash of goldAt just 1 1 2" cubed, this little clay box is the embodiment of miniature sculpture. Donna McCavitt hand builds each one out of red clay no two are ever exactly alike. She uses the sgraffito technique where a colour is painted onto slightly damp clay. A design is then carved through the paint, exposing the terra cotta clay colour below. Mistakes must be turned into "design opportunities' as once the carving starts, there is no turning back! Donna
