Doubling Season is one of the few cards of its type that can double the counters that are placed on planeswalkers, letting you use their final and often strongest abilities as soon as they come into play
The Korean version is a hard-to-find card that only exists in the Starter Deck Kaiba edition (launched in 2003), but if you look at the image of the actual card found in the card shop, it is correctly labeled as dark on this side

When you do activate it, you get to choose one of two powerful abilities: Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls Destroy all Spells and Traps your opponent controls While its undoubtedly powerful, the no face-up cards requirement makes this card a bit harder to use especially if your deck uses field spells
Scythecat Cub, on the other hand, is cheaper, can buff your other creatures, and even double their power
That gives Brewer even more outs to the few big attackers he may come up against: its just really tough to keep worthwhile monsters on the field when youre up against this strategy
